Abstract
In this meeting, we set a framework for studying contact-induced phenomena. We treat the topic as a non-linear, dynamical system, and talk about the possible variables, linguistic- and extra-linguistic, which ultimately give the contact outcome the shape it has.
Mini-bio
Metin Bağrıaçık’s main research interest lies on the study of morpho-syntactic change in time, with emphasis on the minority languages of Asia Minor, mostly Greek and Turoyo. He holds a Ph.D. from Ghent University (2018) and is currently an assistant professor of linguistics at Boğaziçi University in Istanbul.
